First of all, warmest wishes and Eid Mubarak to all those observing the holy month of Ramadan.
It's at this time of year that I remember the heat and static of my early years in Saudi, the glittering night sky of the Light Show in Sharjah and the quieter, dusty streets of rural Oman as restaurants closed for fasting. And, of course, friends here in the UK, muddling through the dreary wet weather with the rest of us.
Any excuse to stop and reflect, really, and think about the wider world around us.
