By the time you read this, the Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole symposium will finally be over. Fed Chair Jerome Powell read from his tea leaves but didn't, of course, tell anyone exactly what the next Fed rate hike will be, a bunch of academic economists debated stimulus and austerity and the pandemic recovery, and now everyone has to go back home and give Jackson, Wyoming back to the Kardashians. The financial media will continue to debate that next Fed rate hike for the next few weeks leading up to the decision, and we can exercise our right to not listen to the debate.
