Former 7de Laan actor Themsie Times, who played Maria, has died at the age of 70. When Themsie was 17 years old, she left her hometown in Gqeberha and moved to Johannesburg to pursue her acting dreams. She went on to star in the first season of Yizo Yizo and several films.  💞

Actor Themsie Times, best known for her role as Maria in the Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan, has died, 7de Laan publicity manager Kayleen Bessit confirmed on Friday.  She was 70. 
 

"The production has also learned of this sad news today from the family spokesperson," she told Channel24.
 

Themsie, who exited 7de Laan in 2016 after 13 years, also appeared in the first season of Yizo Yizo and the 2003 film Stander.
