Former White House communications director Hope Hicks took the stand in Donald Trump’s New York criminal trial, leading the jury through a dramatic inside account of Trump’s reaction to the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape that nearly derailed his first presidential bid.

Hicks said that when she spoke to Trump about the tape, he told her, "It doesn’t sound like something I would say."
