Greenville’s first hostel, launched after a 2016 crowd-funding campaign, will host an open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for visitors to see — but not touch — the new space. Modal Hostel’s Touchless Tour will allow masked guests to walk through the three dormitory-style rooms and two private suites — which can sleep up to 23 guests.
The S.C. Council on Competitiveness rebranded its technology and cybersecurity growth initiative TechSC to SC Tech on Tuesday, under the leadership of a new director, Kim Christ. With the addition of Christ, SC Tech plans to launch a cybersecurity and technology-focused economic impact study as well as an asset map featuring existing tech companies and educational programs in the state.
