Good afternoon. It's Monday, October 9, and today's headlines include the deaths of several Americans killed in Israel, an organization saving the lives of women and babies, and the PTC calling for more family-friendly entertainment.

At least four Americans are dead and others were possibly taken hostage in a large-scale offensive by Hamas militants against Israel on Saturday. The death toll exceeded 1,100 as of early Monday, and U.S. officials expect that number to rise. The Wall Street Journal reports that Iranian security officials helped plan the attack. Dr. Michael Brown calls out Pastor Andy Stanley for inviting practicing homosexuals to speak at his "Unconditional Conference," noting that Satan's deception includes coming as an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15). "[U]nder no circumstances should we affirm a child's gay or bi or trans or queer identity. The Parents Television and Media Council has called on media companies to create more family-family content after its latest report found that mature content across streaming platforms significantly outpaces appropriate material for families. The PTC's report revealed 541 MA-rated original series across major streaming services compared to just 87 TV-PG-rated and 60 TV-G-rated original series. Read more.
