Good afternoon,

Welcome to a lunchtime update from The Scotsman

As well as being the start of September, it's "hump day" today, traditionally the middle of the working week. But all that could change if trials for a four-day week in Scotland with no loss of pay are successful.

Today the Scottish Government has been urged to expand its pilot for this new scheme - which more than eight in 10 Scots supports.

Do you think it's a good idea?
