▸ DEBT | IFC and Victory Park Capital provided a USD30m loan to Habi, a Colombia-based residential real estate technology platform. BBVA Spark granted an additional credit extension. 

• These are the fifth and sixth debt facilities raised by Habi since 2022, including a USD15m structured loan from IDB Invest, a USD75m credit line from Triple Point Capital, a USD6.3m credit line from Bancoldex and a USD100m credit line from Victory Park Capital.

▸ Zig, a Brazilian payments system designed for events, raised ~USD21.4m from Cloud9, Across Capital and Endeavor Scale-Up Ventures.

▸ Spark Capital led a USD10.6m Series A for dataplor, a Brazilian startup crowdsourcing local retail market intelligence, with participation from Acronym Venture Capital, Circadian Ventures, Two Lanterns Venture Partners, APA Venture Partners and follow-on from Quest Venture Partners.

• Quest Venture Partners made a USD4m follow-on investment in July 2020; Quest Venture Partners led an undisclosed seed round for the company in 2019.

▸ WOMEN-LED | Gradient Ventures led a USD9.3m Series A for Toku, a Chilean recurring payments automation platform for SMEs, with follow-on from Clocktower, YC, F-Prime Capital, Wolf Capital and Funders Club.

• F-Prime led a USD7m round in March 2023; Clocktower and Funders Club led a USD2m seed round in October 2021.
• Toku was co-founded by Francisca Noguera.

▸ CARS | DOMO led a ~USD8.7m round for Turbi, a Brazilian car rental platform, with participation from Reag Investimentos and Carbyne Investimentos.

• ARC Capital led a ~USD30.5m round in January; EXT Capital led a ~USD16.5m round in July 2023.
• DEBT | Turbi secured a ~USD21m loan facility from ARC Capital, Jive Investments, Augme, Capitânia, EXT Capital, Fator and Western in November 2022; DOMO Invest led a ~USD800k round in October 2018.  

▸ M&A | Carryt, a Colombian e-commerce last-mile delivery platform, acquired the operations in Mexico and Colombia of Treggo, an Argentine last-mile delivery provider management platform for SMEs. 

• Carryt also acquired Colombian logistics marketplace Liftit in January 2022. 
• Chilean-based Impacta VC invested in Carryt in March 2022; Treggo raised a USDD2.8m round in August 2021 from Newtown Partners, Verve Capital, Latin Leap, Bluewatch Ventures and Kube VC.

▸ EmpreX, a Brazilian consumer credit platform, raised ~USD7.6m from SRM Ventures, the CVC arm of Brazilian asset manager SRM.

• EmpreX raised ~USD2.2m from undisclosed angel investors in April 2023. 

▸ KASZEK led a ~USD6.7m round for Brandlovrs, a Brazilian influencer marketing platform connecting small creators with retailers.

• Canary led a ~USD2m seed round in April 2023. 
• Brandlovrs is a spinoff of Brazilian digital brand developer Adventures.

▸ AGTECH | Capria Ventures led a USD6m Series A for GoFlux, a Brazilian freight network for agricultural products, with participation from The Yield Lab Latam, Blue Impact Global, Reflect Ventures, Arrebol Capital and follow-on from SP Ventures. 

• SP Ventures and ADM Venture Capital, the CVC arm of Grupo Rendimiento, led a USD1.2m round in June 2021.

▸ Lightspeed Venture Partners led a ~USD3.7m for The Mobile-First Company, a France-based B2B application developer. 

• The Mobile-First Company was co-founded by Chilean Ignacio Siel Brunet.

▸ ECUADOR | Kamina, an Ecuador-based personal finance platform, raised a USD3.2m pre-seed round from undisclosed investors. 

▸ PROPTECH | Digital Innovation Group led a USD3m seed round for Koggi, a Colombian housing financing platform. 

▸ Radar, a Chilean treasury management platform, raised a USD1.5m seed round from The Fintech Fund, Everywhere Ventures, Startup Istanbul, Rhombuz VC and angel Cristóbal Forno (Global66).

▸ OnePay, a Colombian B2B payment solutions platform, raised a USD1.3m pre-seed round from undisclosed investors. 

▸ FENVentures and LatinLeap led a USD1.2m pre-seed round for Dapta, a US-based Open Finance startup, with participation from Seedstars and follow-on from Páramo Partners, Invariantes Fund and KuiperVC.

• Dapta raised a USD1m pre-seed round in December 2023.
• Dapta is founded by Colombian Nicolás Rojas.

▸ Connectic Ventures led a USD1m round for Serpa Cloud, a Mexico-based cloud computing network. 

▸ APS Mobilidade Urbana, a Brazilian urban mobility solutions startup, raised ~USD1m from undisclosed investors. 

▸ MAYA Capital led a USD750k pre-seed round for Crezes, a Mexican retail analysis platform.

• Angels participating included Sebastián Monroy (Zubale), Stiven Rodriguez (Heru), Miguel Ocampo (Ozon) and Andrés Villaquirán (Nomad).

▸ Greg, a Brazilian payments solution platform, raised ~USD390k from Hiker Ventures.

▸ Strive led a ~USD310k round for NewsCo, a Brazilian AI-based news platform.

▸ SQM Lithium Ventures invested in Binario Tech, a Chilean wastewater solutions company, and Zemaq, a Chilean hydraulic machinery company. 

▸ ANGEL | Brazilian angel network SC Angels invested in Tecpet, a Brazilian pet services marketplace.

Funds

▸ DFC made a commitment of up to USD2.5m to Innogen Capital’s ICV Delta Fund I, a venture fund focused on investing in Northern Central America, USD4m to Kamay Ventures I, Kamay Venture's inaugural fund investing in tech-enabled supply chain platforms across Latin America, and USD4m to Regenera Venture'sRegenera Ventures I, an impact investment fund focused on the rural economy in Mexico. 

▸ WOMEN LED | IDB Lab made an undisclosed commitment to the debut fund launched by iThink VC, a Paraguay-based manager investing in early-stage startups in Central and South America. 

• iThink’s most recent investments include PriceLab, Kilimo, Moova, Koban and GoJom.
• iThink was co-founded by Jazmín Gustalle Gil.

▸ IDB Lab partnered with TechnoArt to launch Miami LAC Gateway, the first edition of an immersion program for startups interested in establishing operations in Miami as a first touchpoint to expand their footprint in the US. Interested founders are welcome to apply. 

▸ The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator just opened applications for its matching program focused on connecting LatAm and European startups with corporates seeking to expand their exposure to tech-enabled solutions. Interested startups and corporates are welcome to apply before 30 April.
