Not your typical “best of” list How many times have you clicked on one of those Internet stories that purport to list the “best”? The “best burgers,” “the best selfie-spots,” yadda yadda. This week on The Tyee we showcased a more unconventional version of the genre: J.B. MacKinnon’s “The Seven Best Places to Eat in Canada.” MacKinnon’s gorgeous story came to us as an excerpt from the book Sustenance, published by Anvil Press. Proceeds from sales of the book help support refugee families in B.C. You can find further (and equally lovely) excerpts from Sustenance on The Tyee here. Enjoy. — Robyn Smith, editor |
