Crew-rostering was frequently done manually in the past and remains so to this day. To alleviate this situation, the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services (CML) in Harburg is coming up with digital solutions ranging from crew-rostering software, robot systems to a bridge laboratory.
In other news, foreign trade from Hamburg is heading for success, a delegation representing the cruise ship sector is travelling to the Seatrade Cruise Global fair in Miami and now everyone can look forward to this year’s port anniversary celebrations.
