Hi John,
Picasso is known to have said that βart washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.β If life has been feeling a little dusty, it may be a good time to pull out an art journal, write a poem, or make up silly songs. Taking a few minutes to reconnect with our artistic selves is a gift that helps us remember who we are and want to be.
The TinkerSketch art challenge can be an easy entry point, offering a spark of open-ended creative inspiration for you and your family to experiment and play with. π
Take as little as 5 minutes a day (so easy if you're like me and time feels limited).
There's no pressure to achieve any level of perfection. In fact, mistakes and imperfections are most welcome.
The idea is simple: each day we'll offer you a word to inspire drawing, collage, music, poetry, or...you name it!
Read the daily word, let your creative juices flow, and create anything you like in a sketchbook, art journal, or post-it note.
If you have other family members who are game to play, it's a fun way to spend time together.
Our fancy Mini Sketchbook (plus guide) has been super popular, so I'm continuing it with the August edition. Yay!

The free guide includes a list of my favorite sketchbook tools, printable to make your own mini sketchbook (all the daily words are already printed on it), and reflection sheets.
The free guide includes:
Once you print it, fold it, and glue the sections together, make a personalized cover from a piece of art you've saved, and then it's ready to go!

Then, pop into Club TinkerLab (our free Facebook group for creative families) to share your creations. I'm excited to see what you're working on!

That's it for now. Wishing you a joyful week.
