Apple hits back after DOJ sues it in landmark iPhone monopoly case |
The tech firm said a win for the government in the antitrust case would 'set a dangerous precedent' |
Apple has hit back at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) 's decision to file an antitrust lawsuit accusing the tech giant of abusing its market position in a way that hurts rivals, developers, and customers. "This lawsuit threatens who we are and the principles that set Apple products apart," the Cupertino-based company said on Thursday, adding that if the action against it is successful, it will hinder its ability "to create the kind of technology people expect from Apple — where hardware, software, and services intersect. It would also set a dangerous precedent, empowering government to take a heavy hand in designing people's technology." There's no telling which way it will go, but lawyers battling for both sides look set to be busy for some time to come ... |

There's good news for folks using the most popular live-streaming service on an iPhone or iPad.
