New leaders hired at MUSC, Summerville Medical Center

MUSC Health has hired Dr. David Zaas to oversee its newly designated Charleston Division. Zaas will start in July. Additionally, Summerville Medical Center hired Jeff Taylor as CEO last month.

North Charleston shopping center sold for $17.1M

The Shoppes at Centre Pointe has sold for $17.1 million to Olympic Property Management, a property management company based in Sugar Hill, Ga. The shopping center, completed in 2006, is anchored by Ashley Furniture, Staples and Dollar Tree and is 98% leased.

Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach

The nonprofit has closed its nonessential services to focus on providing food and financial assistance to the community. The organization is also anticipating more individuals and families will require support after the pandemic.

Warren Fasteners South

Despite seeing other local fastener providers close their doors, business at Warren Fasteners South remains strong. Internet sales have grown exponentially, requiring some staff members to be reassigned warehouse duties.
