Meteors or “shooting stars” are wonders of nature. Their name comes from the Greek term “meteoron” which means phenomenon in the sky — and that is so true as meteors are magical sights.
Meteors are actually broken fragments of asteroids or comets that leave a glowing streak as they enter the Earth’s atmosphere. National Meteor Watch Day encourages us all to pause and look to the skies.
