Your guide to a gloriously cosy winter in London

Leant into winter yet? We've put together a few ideas to help you embrace the colder months — from indulgent food and drink, to snug venues, to comforts you can enjoy without even having to get up from under that duvet. Hey, it is hibernation season after all.

In the cosiness stakes, toasting your toes in front of an open fire surely reigns supreme. And you can do exactly that while enjoying a beverage at one of our favourite London pubs with open fireplaces. Another great way to warm your cockles? Fondue! Choose between gorgeously gooey cheese and moreish melted chocolate. If you prefer to hunker down at home, there's still time to order a banging Christmas hamper — or you can get a head start on Veganuary with a hearty plant-based meal kit or takeaway. Then there are wine, gin and cocktail delivery services to fuel your next big night in, plus a few plays from Shakespeare's Globe to watch in your PJs.

Not sure if you want to be in or out? London's cosy winter pop-ups can give you the best of both worlds, with homely decor and some stupendous semi-private dining options available, including the igloos at Coppa Club, pictured above. Hit the blue button to browse those now.
