Switzerland Tourism - Newsletter

Dear Grüezi, Bonjour, Buongiorno, Allegra, Welcome

As spring transitions to summer in Switzerland, the Alps are covered in a lush palette of green as the last traces of snow disappear. Before we fully embrace the summer ahead, let's take a moment to reflect on the first few months of the year.

In 2023, the United States played a key role in driving the recovery of the Swiss tourism industry. With overnight stays increasing by over 23% compared to the record year of 2019, the market is flourishing once again. This deserves a big thank you to all of you selling Switzerland. Let's make it a great 2024!

In early 2024, Geneva gained significant recognition by earning a top 10 spot in the "New York Times 52 Places to Go" list and being highlighted in Merian magazine's top 15 recommendations.

In April, SWISS International Air Lines has launched daily flights linking Zurich and Washington, D.C. Only a few weeks later, SWISS introduced the new direct flights between Toronto and Zurich, five times a week, expanding its North American route network significantly.

For the ones already looking forward to the next winter season, we have great news: starting 2024-25 season, IKON adds St. Moritz to its pass lineup, while the Epic Pass now includes Crans Montana.

Embrace the magic of spring on the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland. Enjoy stunning views, charming Swiss towns, majestic mountains, and the ease of train travel in Switzerland - not only in spring, but all year round.

Attention food enthusiasts and those who prefer earning their lunch! Experience the ideal blend of culinary delights and breathtaking scenery on a gourmet hike featuring three delicious stops. Indulge your senses while soaking in the mesmerizing views of Lake Constance.
