Where Champions Play!
With colder weather comes the possibility of frost. Read below for our full Frost Policy!
Wildwood Green Frost Delay Policy: When the overnight temperature drops below freezing, there is a potential for a frost delay. If there is frost on the course the Superintendent will let the Golf Shop know what the revised starting time for the day will be as quickly as possible, and we will inform you of any updates via E-Communication.
Once the Superintendent gives the Golf Shop the “all clear” to begin play, we will implement a forward shotgun for all play at and before the new starting time. We have a 45-minute minimum notification time, so if we get the go-ahead to open the course at 9:00am, the shotgun will begin at 9:45am to allow golfers time to get to the course.
Things to Keep in Mind: If frost on the course is ignored and regular play commences it will cause damage to the playing surface and make the grass susceptible to disease and weeds. Frost Delays also apply to the practice greens. We don’t want to damage those! The Driving Range will be open as long as there is not a thick layer of frost on the mats, which could create some potentially very slippery and dangerous situations.Golf Shop:
