Happy Monday,

I've been dealing with an "interesting" setback the past week...

Despite the fact that the world seems to be reopening in some small way.

It looks like the borders between Canada and America will remain closed until after July 21st.

A rather frustrating challenge since Bedros and I are scheduled to host our Empire Mastermind July 18-19th.

And frankly, it's one of the first times where I genuinely don't know if being "resourceful" is going to be enough to solve this problem.

I already called my immigration lawyer... travel agent... even the Department of Homeland Security!

But there was no good news to be found.

My O1 Visa doesn’t permit travel... and my work is not essential...

Honeslty, I’m not sure what will happen...

BUT...

I do know that I'm not giving up.

And even though I grumbled to Michelle momentarily and complained about the "unfairness" of how things are right now...

I reminded myself of my core value to "Control what you can and accept the rest."

So I acquiesced to the brutal facts of 2020 and got on with life.

Which reminds me of one of my favorite quotes...

You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end—which you can never afford to lose—with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.” – Admiral James Stockdale

I’ll continue to turn over every rock and try to figure something out...

Because one of my mottos in life is:

Always Find a Way.

So if you have any advice, I’d love to hear it.

But more importantly, don't miss the takeaway lesson here.

When you get knocked down...

There’s no point in wasting energy whining and complaining.

If it's not going to impact you 20-years from now, why would you allow it to sour your mood and control your state for more than 20-minutes?

After getting the bad news, I quickly caught myself and got back on track.

And you need to do the same.

Whatever is facing you in your life and business in 2020...

Whether you lost your superstar employee...

Were forced to sell your dream home...

Lost half of your revenue overnight...

Or even had to shut down your business entirely...

STOP wasting time complaining about the things you can't control.

Instead, shift into problem-solving mode and concentrate on the things that you can.

You can't control losing a star employee...

...But you can control how aggressively you push to find someone new...

You can't control the market conditions that carved a six inch (or six figure) hole in your business...

...But you can control how you choose to react.

So concentrate on that.

Ask for help.

Double-check the details to make sure nothing was missed.

Don’t take the initial “No” for an answer.

Keep searching, keep pushing, and keep trying!

Always find a way.

Because there is ALWAYS a way.

Even if it's not the way we'd expected.

That's all I have for you today.

To Your Success,
Craig
