The City Council has approved $15 million for the redevelopment of two wharves in the French Quarter and Marigny, part of a long-envisioned plan to create a string of public parks along the Mississippi River. The funding covers half of the project's cost, with the other half coming from the Audubon Nature Institute. Ben Myers has the story.
