Special Announcements NIH Releases Final Scientific Integrity Policy NIH has released the Final Scientific Integrity Policy of the National Institutes of Health. The final policy incorporates and is responsive to the principles and directives of the Presidential Memorandum on Restoring Trust in Government Through Scientific Integrity and Evidence-Based Policymaking, Protecting the Integrity of Government Science, and A Framework for Federal Scientific Integrity Policy and Practice. The final policy will take effect on December 30, 2024. EEID Initiative to host Informational Webinar The multi-agency Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases (EEID) program will hold a an information virtual office hour on October 2, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am ET. Staff from NSFâs Division of Environmental Biology, Division of Integrative Organismal Systems, Division of Ocean Sciences and Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences will be in attendance to discuss the EEID program, partnerships (US and international) and how to submit a successful EEID proposal followed by a Q&A session. NIH/PEPFAR Local Implementation Science Network Seeks Applications Apply to develop a local Implementation Science (IS) alliance that responds to the local priorities and contexts and engage with the larger cross-alliance network comprised of members of all the local alliances. Each local IS alliance will convene partners to develop activities related to implementation challenges in the context of HIV and an overall agenda that addresses consensus-driven implementation science priorities. Call for Applications: Global Forum on Humanitarian Health Research 2025 The Global Forum on Humanitarian Health Research (GFH2R) is a unique convening that seeks to elevate the voice of researchers from settings affected by humanitarian crises, especially low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), through a series of webinars and an in-person meeting taking place in Nairobi, Kenya in May 2025. Applications will be accepted for: therapeutics for infections caused by Gram-negative pathogens, prevention for invasive disease, diagnostics for neonatal sepsis, and proof-of-concept for novel sample types for diagnosing lower-respiratory-tract infections.
Application deadline: October 4, 2024 - The UK National Institute for Health and Care Research is now seeking applications for their Global Health Research (GHR) â Researcher-led programs. GHR funds research that aims to improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable people in low and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Application deadline: November 6, 2024 - The American Institute of Indian Studies is accepting applications for a variety of fellowships providing funding to pre- and post-doctoral scholars in pursuit of knowledge about India.
