| Wisdome, DTLAâs immersive artâs and entertainment park, is closing out 2019 with two well-curated shows featuring some of the biggest names in funk music with eclectic electronic artists, DJs, and cool visionary arts exhibitions in 360 VR. On Dec. 28th, Interplanetary Funksmanship, an immersive exploration of Afrofuturistic psychedelic art and cosmic funk, takes over the Wisdome mothership. Funk legend Fred Wesley (James Brown, P-Funk, and Bootsyâs Rubber Band) is joined by Grammy nominee Georgia Anne Muldrow, Blackbyrd McKnight (P-Funk) and LA funk mainstays, Trulio Disgracious for a wild night of intergalactic funk! West Coast G-Funk pioneer DJ Battlecat with be playing a Ras G tribute set with a special appearance by Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Killah Priest! Plus, you can expect mind-blowing surprise musical guests. p> Afrofuturistic illustrators John Jennings and Stacey âBlackstarâ Robinson, collectively known as Black Kirby, will showcase their visionary artwork in immersive 360 throughout the night. Legendary New Orleans funk band, Dumpstaphunk, will take you higher with a special Sly & The Family Stone set. They are joined by The Gaslamp Killer, House Shoes and rising L.A. talent Low Leaf alongside surprise special guests.
