Cement production is responsible for over 8 per cent of global CO2 emissions. Although the binding agent remains crucial, is there another way to build? Blu, a subsidiary of the Aug. Prien Group, is now trying to come up with an alternative. In our latest Future Hamburg Talk, Carsten Joost, Manager Director of Blu, outlines the use of cement-free geopolymer concrete in a pilot project in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region… a first in Germany.
