You asked, we delivered.

Dear John,

Don’t we all love recognition for a job well done? When HCPro introduced the Credentialing Resource Center (CRC) Achievement Awards and CRC Symposium Case Study Competition last year, I was elated. Finally—an opportunity to honor the hardworking MSPs and medical staff leaders in our industry and to raise the profile of our profession through participation in a national recognition program.

In my opinion, there is no greater professional reward than to be respected by one’s peer group. I encourage you to seize this opportunity by nominating a deserving medical staff leader and/or MSP—including yourself—for a CRC Achievement Award. This is not a time to be shy! Nominations are open until October 16 (less than two weeks!) for the following categories:

  • CRC MSP of the Year
  • CRC Medical Staff Leader of the Year
  • CRC Excellence in Medical Staff Collaboration Award

Also consider submitting a proposal in the Case Study Competition for a chance to join expert faculty (including me!) on the podium at the 2018 CRC Symposium, February 5–6, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here’s your chance to teach peers from across the country about a problem that your organization has encountered and successfully solved or one of your projects that has improved outcomes or processes. We all learn from the successes of others.

As a judge on this year’s contest selection panel, I sincerely look forward to reading about all of your accomplishments. I would also love to see you and/or your medical staff leader at the 2018 CRC Symposium (CRC Contest winners attend for free). Carpe diem!

My best,
Carol Cairns, CPMSM, CPCS

Your wish is our command!

The Credentialing Resource Center (CRC) team is extending the deadline to enter the 2018 CRC Symposium Case Study Competition and the 2018 CRC Achievement Awards, two application-based contests showcasing excellence in the medical staff services and leadership fields.
The revised deadline for submitting contest applications is Monday, October 16, 2017.

For complete contest details and to enter the contests through our simple online process, visit https://credentialingresourcecenter.com/symposium/contests

Past winners have found the CRC Contests immensely valuable on multiple fronts, including:
  • Professional education and expertise: Winners receive free admission to the 2018 CRC Symposium. The event, which will be held February 5–6 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada, provides MSPs, medical staff leaders, and quality directors with two days’ worth of expert insight and actionable strategies for developing and sustaining effective credentialing, privileging, competence assessment, and medical staff governance processes amid constant changes to healthcare service delivery and reimbursement.
  • Career advancement: This prestigious recognition looks great on a résumé.
  • Networking: The CRC team showcases winners and their important work in widely distributed industry publications and honors these trailblazers in a dedicated ceremony at the CRC Symposium, thereby connecting them with influential industry stakeholders across the country and professional spectrum.
2018 CRC Achievement Awards

CRC’s Achievement Awards honor MSPs and medical staff leaders who make a difference in their organization and serve as an inspiration to the broader professional community. Nominate an outstanding colleague (or yourself) in one of the following categories:

2018 CRC Symposium Case Study Competition

CRC is seeking a pioneering MSP, physician leader, or small team (up to three people) to present a compelling case study at the 2018 CRC Symposium. Any MSP or medical staff leader who is currently involved in credentialing, privileging, peer review, or another important medical staff function is welcome to submit a case study application. The winning proposal will highlight a creative solution that the presenter(s) have helped implement at their organization. By imparting their in-the-trenches experiences and lessons learned, the chosen speaker(s) will shed light on an issue, practice, or principle that affects stakeholders across the modern medical staff landscape.
