The FDA has issued Emergency Use Authorizations for the first COVID-19 vaccines. These vaccines were developed, tested, approved, and mass produced in record time. As these vaccinations have arrived, many people, including homecare employees.
This session will look at the statistics on vaccine skepticism to assess likely employee pushback on a vaccine program. We will also review the employer’s obligations to maintain a safe workplace and the employees’ rights to refuse the vaccine. From there, we will consider what an employer vaccination policy ought to look like and how it should be operationalized.
