It's going to be absolutely critical that we defend and expand our Democratic majorities in the Senate and the House in the 2022 midterms. With Jaime at the helm of the DNC, I know we're in good position to elect more Democrats in Oregon and across America.

Jaime's a South Carolina native who worked his way from poverty to the Ivy League, and later, through law school. He often points out that a kid like him – a "poor kid raised by a single mom" â€“ doesn't usually get a fair shot in our country. And that's why he's dedicated his life to making our country better.

As a former Chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party, he knows firsthand how important state parties like the Democratic Party of Oregon are in electing Democrats up and down the ballot. Now, as DNC Chair, he's taking that knowledge and experience with him and making historic investments in state parties and the grassroots to strengthen the Democratic Party as a whole.
