On Monday, Forward CEO & Publisher Rachel Fishman Feddersen announced our ambitious goal of 1,800 membership gifts during the Forward’s annual Passover Membership Drive.
She also shared that members of our Board of Directors are matching the first 1,000 gifts. As one of the matching donors, let me explain why we’re doing that — and why we hope you’ll take us up on this offer.
I’ve been the chair of the Forward’s board since 2019. During that time, we’ve worked hard to grow the Forward into the digital news powerhouse it is today. Simply put, no publication is asking better questions — or pursuing the nuanced answers we need during this complicated time — than the Forward.
A little over a year ago, we decided to make all Forward content free for everyone. We believe that our reporting is important for all American Jews to better understand their world, and we don’t want subscription fees or paywalls to limit your access.
We’re able to do this thanks to the support of our members. Without members, we could not bring you the quality and quantity of journalism you rely on every day.
So, during our annual Passover Membership Drive, I’m asking you to step up and become a member.
