It's October and we still have the NFL season rolling through in spite of a pandemic-related setback with Tennessee. It's not November, but we still have plenty of reason to be thankful for Thursday Night's matchup even if that means giving props to the Broncos and Jets. Although it's obviously not the best matchup, fear not, there are plenty of player props and fun DFS plays to pursue in this matchup so we had R.J. White join the show to break it all down
What's the exact opposite of Patrick Mahomes vs. Lamar Jackson on Monday night? Brett Rypien vs. Sam Darold probably qualifies! It's actually not that bad of a quarterback matchup in a vacuum. Our resident NFL historian Bryan DeArdo dives into that game and more while looking back at key historic games between two teams facing off in Week 4 of the 2020 season.
JuJu Smith-Schuster joined the All Things Covered podcast earlier this week and named Marlon Humphrey the toughest CB he's ever matched up against. Is it then a coincidence that the Ravens extended their young CB rewarding him with a new deal? We may never know but Cody Benjamin pinpointed the next seven NFL stars due for big contract extensions during the 2020 season.
Jeff Kerr loves diving deep into stats and there might be no NFL player more worthy of that right now than Russell Wilson. After social media carried out the #LetRussCook mantra this offseason, Seattle has altered their offensive approach with more pass attempts and fewer run calls. The result? Russ is, in fact, cooking. Kerr breaks down all the numbers that have gone into Wilson's dominant first three games and why he is very legitimately an MVP candidate.
