Ottawa 67's vs Peterborough Petes Thursday's Game Recap Despite getting out to an early lead, the Ottawa 67s saw their three-game win streak come to an end in Peterborough, Thursday night. Luca Pinelli scored twice in the first period, and Thomas Johnston added his eighth of the season, but a three-goal second period propelled the Petes to a 5-3 victory. Cam Tolnai cycled the puck to Jack Matier at the point, who gave it off to Pinelli at the faceoff dot to the left of the Peterborough net. The rookie walked in, and fired a laser of a shot top shelf to open the scoring. A hard forecheck by Cooper Foster down low knocked the puck loose, and Chris Barlas scooped it up, sending a quick pass to Johnston in the slot. He made no mistake on his one-timer chance, beating Simpson, and making it 2-1 in favour of the 67s. Ottawa 67's vs Niagara IceDogs Friday's Game Recap With the game in overtime, locked up at 3-3, Rohrer dashed into the Niagara zone, and fired his first career overtime winner past Josh Rosenzweig to give the Barber Poles a 4-3 win. The other Ottawa markers came by way of Will Gerrior, Brad Gardiner, and Alex Johnston, while Max Donoso stopped 26 shots for his second straight win. Rohrer found Anthony Costantini at the point, and his shot was deflected home by Gerrior, whose second goal in three games made it 1-0 in favour of the home team. Johnston chipped the puck to Derek Smyth at the Niagara blue line, and the defender made a gorgeous cross-ice feed to Gardiner. Gardiners one-timer beat Rosenzweig through the five-hole, and his second of the year restored the Ottawa lead.
