Power Moves

Maryland Tech Council, the technology and life sciences trade association in the state, announced the appointment of a new chair and new board directors earlier this month.

Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation's Brad Stewart has taken over as board chair, while GlaxoSmithKline's Steven M. Walker is chairman of Maryland Life Sciences. See the full list of new board members here.

Kelly Schulz, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council, expressed her enthusiasm for the new members in a statement, highlighting their representation of respected companies within Maryland's innovation ecosystem.

“Our ability to educate, connect, and advocate for members depends on diverse perspectives from creative and forward-thinking board members," she said. "I look forward to working with our board as we seek to make our state the destination of choice for innovators.”
