Gartner predicts 3.6% drop in semiconductor revenue in 2023; Ericsson study highlights how 5G can contribute to GDP growth; Telstra renews its Adaptive Mobility and Networks solutions

Global semiconductor revenue will fall 3.6% year-on-year in 2023, the technology analyst firm Gartner has forecast, adding that the 2022 market would be up by 4% with revenue rising to US$618 billion (A$929 billion).

With regulatory and government support, 15 national emerging markets deploying 5G could benefit from GDP growth between 0.3 and 0.46% through 2035 with an estimated three-to-seven-fold cost-to-benefit ratio, according to an Ericsson commissioned study by consulting firm Analysys Mason.
