Gateway Project provides 4^th quarter plans

The Flatiron-Zachry joint venture, the contractor for the 85/385 Gateway Project, anticipates completing all bridge structures related to the project during the fourth quarter, according to a quarterly update.

O’Neill joins Economic Futures Group

Katherine O’Neill has been named the executive vice president of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Futures Group. O’Neill replaces Carter Smith who announced his retirement earlier this year, although he remains with the organization as the part-time director of special projects.

Longshoremen’s union placed under trusteeship 

The International Longshoremen’s Association has placed the Charleston-area dockworkers union under trusteeship. The trustee is Virgil Maldonado, president of the ILA Local 1588 in Bayonne, N.J.
