Latter-day Saint women urged to focus on Christ and covenants to receive desired outcomes
Those who watched the women's session wanting to feel supported, encouraged and uplifted were likely not disappointed. Here are a few of my favorite quotes from the session:
“No matter our circumstances, our lives are sacred and have meaning and purpose. Each of us is a beloved daughter of God, born with divinity in our souls.” — Sister Susan H. Porter
“It’s not about doing life perfectly — it’s about finding joy while doing our best.” — Sister Rebecca L. Craven
“Even though you may feel alone as the storms of life are raging, you can shine a light in the darkness of misunderstanding, confusion and unbelief. Your light of faith in Christ can be steady and sure, leading those around you to safety and peace.” — Sister Porter
In 2020, protests over the death of George Floyd could be seen across the nation. Now, some of those protesters have been awarded $14 million due to police using excessive force. "To the protest of police violence they responded with brutality," Timothy Macdonald said.
