Prestigious names and rising stars at London Literature Festival

George the Poet, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kerry Washington and Jacqueline Wilson are among the big names on the programme for this year's London Literature Festival.

This October sees the 16th incarnation of the celebration of written and spoken word taking over the Southbank Centre, for 12 days of prestigious literary names and rising stars, with events for all ages.

Things kick off on 18 October with a lively opening night curated by George the Poet, who brings together artists making waves in the spoken word scene, blending poetry, music, hip-hop, performance and powerful cultural commentary.

The following weekend, London Literature Festival incorporates the Black British Book Festival for the first time. It's a day-long event celebrating Black British authors across all genres — beginning with the launch event for musician Leigh-Anne Pinnock's memoir, Believe.

Throughout its programme, London Literature Festival showcases the diversity of British culture around the UK, and champions London's emerging talent.

London Literature Festival 2023 takes place at the Southbank Centre, 18-29 October, and includes some free events and activities. Tap the blue button below to browse the full programme and book tickets.
