Racelogic announce a major breakthrough in Indoor Positioning No Images? Click here Racelogic announce a major breakthrough in Indoor PositioningThe VBOX Indoor Positioning System (VIPS) is a ground-breaking solution for 3D location which can be used in areas normally off-limits to other measurement technologies such as GPS. If you rely on precision GPS for your measurement application, but it lets you down in dense urban areas or inside a building, then you now have a reliable, accurate and easy to use alternative. Using in-house technology developed by Racelogic over the last 5 years, VIPS works by utilising a network of stand-alone, battery powered beacons, which communicate with a small, rugged receiver to continuously provide an accurate (±2cm) 3D position solution at the receiver. Depending on the required accuracy, beacons can be surveyed in using a Total Station, laser rangefinder or even automatically using a sophisticated self-survey function. Additionally, VIPS has been designed in-house by Racelogic, allowing for bespoke adaptations to meet customer needs. Engineers, integrators and technical partners are invited to contact us to explore how our VIPS technology can benefit your application.
