NATIONAL: Hyatt's Miraval Resorts brand has announced a new partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness to provide free resources on mindfulness and mental well-being. A video series will launch this spring that focuses on ASMR, breathwork and meditation; there will also be a series of live virtual events, as well as philanthropic initiatives focused on well-being. In anticipation of the return of live events, PleXus Health Science has released the UVC-650, an ultraviolet sanitization system designed to disinfect up to 2,000 square feet of space in under 15 minutes. The UVC-650 is lightweight, odorless, has a user-friendly touchscreen and has proven to kill COVID-19. ATLANTA: The Kimpton Sylvan Hotel opened last week in Buckhead. The 1950s-inspired boutique hotel boasts 217 guestrooms, three dining concepts and 4,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Camellia Ballroom is the largest room, spanning 1,900 square feet and accommodating as many as 225 for receptions or 125 for banquets. MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Moxy Miami South Beach has debuted in the city’s Art Deco District. The eight-story, 202-room property is the first Moxy Hotel resort-style property and features contactless check-ins, indoor-outdoor dining, a fitness center and over 24,000 square feet of event space. NEW YORK: The Grammy Museum has announced its Grammy in the Schools (GIST) Fest is taking place March 8-11 this year. Leading up to the night of the Grammy Awards, the four-day event features performances by students and professionals, plus educational panels discussing career tips, advice on collaborations, insight from emerging songwriters and more.
