| NATIONAL: Eventbrite has announced Reconvene, its first-ever global summit, taking place May 20-21. The two-day virtual summit is designed to help event industry professionals prepare for the return of live events post-COVID-19. Attendees can expect expert advice from industry leaders, hands-on workshops, Q&As, case studies, one-on-one breakouts and more. ATLANTA: The 2021 Atlanta Film Festival + Creative Conference (ATLFF) kicked off last week and is featuring 11 days of drive-in screenings, socially distanced in-person screenings and virtual events until May 2. Live screenings are taking place at the Plaza Theatre and Plaza Theatre Drive-In. Tickets and the full festival schedule are available on ATLFF’s website. CHICAGO: Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is reopening on April 30 after undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation. The five-star hotel now boasts an updated lobby with white marble and gold accents, plus a collaboration with Bellsound to host live entertainment throughout opening weekend and on Saturdays. New in-room accommodations include the “Mojitos and Manicures” experience, where guests can sip on custom cocktails while getting an express manicure without ever having to leave their rooms. LAS VEGAS: Resorts World Las Vegas unveiled “Stay Fabulous,” an immersive commercial-style short film titled after the resort’s new tagline. The film gives a sneak peek into the $4.3 billion property ahead of its June 24 opening by showcasing a variety of experiences at Resorts World Las Vegas—from daylife and nightlife to dining, gaming and entertainment—plus special appearances by Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and other stars. NEW YORK: CloserStill Media and Vet Shows U.S. hosted the biggest online veterinary conference in the industry, Vet Show @ Home, with 10,000 registered professionals across the veterinary industry in attendance. The next edition of the event will take place virtually from June 21-23, and content will cover a wide range of therapeutic areas including discussion panels on personal well-being, management and financial preparedness.
