"Explosively" fun things to make for the 4th of July
You can have a ton of fun with ice cream sandwiches. It's simple to make them like those above, simply two cookies with ice cream smashed in the middle.

To make the others, use a pizza roller to roll sugar cookies out in a pan lined with parchment paper. Bake the whole sheet and then cut them into rectangles to make sandwiches.

These were dipped in chocolate and then sprinkled with crushed candy pieces

When we were kids, we made homemade root beer with yeast. The yeast created the carbon dioxide bubbles in the beverage.

There is an easier way—dry ice which you can buy at many grocery stores.
It takes a little cutting and coloring but it's not hard.

Our cream cake mixes are perfect for this.
Take these to the party!

You can mix the pinwheel ahead of time. Then all you have to do is slice and bake.
