  anemone
  Dear Friend,

A sea anemone will hitch a ride on a crab’s back to find new feeding grounds. In turn, the crab gains a fabulous, stinging shield that protects it from predators. Three cheers for symbiotic relationships! Nature is full of them – and all these species working together is just one aspect of the fascinating worlds we love to explore with you on Deep Look – our award-winning science video series on YouTube.

But just like the crab and the anemone, we can't do this alone. We need your help.

The relationship is simple: Become our patron with a monthly gift on Patreon, and you’ll get more of the videos you love, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes access and rewards.

The Deep Look team – Lauren, Josh, Gabi and Elliott – would like to take you to a place we’ve always wanted to explore: the great deserts of the southwestern United States! When we reach our first goal of $5,000 in monthly support, we will dedicate three of our episodes to the wild and wonderful creatures there.

And if 25 of you become patrons by May 22, 2018, a generous donor will chip in an additional gift of $2,500!

Support us for $5 a month. Support us for $25 a month. Or support us at any level that feels right for you. The important thing is that your support right now will give Deep Look the resources to make more enlightening and entertaining videos about our incredible planet.

As a patron, you gain access to:
  • Sneak previews and behind-the-scenes looks
  • Chats with the producers, researchers and scientists about their creative process
  • Deep Look stickers and t-shirts, and lots more!
Creating 20 Deep Look episodes a year is a labor of love. Between research, writing, filming, editing, graphics, and original music, every 4-minute episode takes 6-8 weeks to produce. With your monthly support, we can bring even more shows to life.

From all of us at Deep Look – thank you for being the crab to our anemone!

Sincerely,
The Deep Look Team
Elliott, Lauren, Sue Ellen, Josh, Craig and Gabi
