Dame Judi Dench Was Going to be the Creator of the Millennium Falcon!?

The Millennium Falcon

A new bit of concept art from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has surfaced from Phil Saunders and shows Daisy Ridley's Rey talking with an older woman. That older woman? Supposedly the woman who created the Millennium Falcon, and Judi Dench was apparently short-listed to play her.

Expanding the Supreme Court Is Normal and We Should Do It

WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 15: (L-R) Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) arrive for a press conference in front of the U.S. Supreme Court to announce legislation to expand the number of seats on the Supreme Court on April 15, 2021 in Washington, DC. Their bill would expand the Supreme Court from 9 to 13 justices. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says she does not support the bill and doesn't plan to bring it to the House floor. Some Democrats have introduced legislation that would expand the Supreme Court. They are right to do so and the court should be larger.

Gabriel Luna as Ghost Rider

Adapting a video game into a series isn't something that we've seen done too frequently, at least not on a platform like HBO, so I'm interested to see just how much they change from the game to the series, but that being said, getting to see Pascal as Joel with Luna as Tommy is going to delight me to no end.

With the passing of Prince Philip, there has been discussion about his family's connection to the Nazis during World War II. I decided I wanted to look deeper into it and, in doing so, found an interesting familial history.

Not Just Made For Love: TV Has Proved Female Trauma Doesn’t Exist in a Vacuum

Cristin Milioti as Hazel in HBO Max's Made for Love.

Beyond the series’ sci-fi core, Hazel’s burden speaks to other women that lockdown has trapped with emotionally, physically, and/or sexually abusive partners in their own homes. But the HBO Max show also attempts to tell Hazel’s complicated story in a form that doesn’t exclusively revolve around her ordeal—because, as we learned from other excellent TV precedents like Michaela Coel’s I May Destroy You, trauma doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
