The February Thaw


THIS WEEK Bob Romano writes about the waning of winter, a time of year that often sparks memories of seasons past as well as anticipation for the season to come. 

In this week's featured tying video Tim Flagler ties the Early Black Stonefly Nymph. "In the northeastern U.S., early black stonefly activity usually begins in late winter," Tim says. "For many fly fishers, it’s really the first dependable hatch of the year."
