PEORIA - Veterans Day will honor the brave, and also, if weather forecasts hold up, test the resolve of those who brave the weather.

On Monday, monuments and memorials dedicated to those who served in the armed forces in Illinois will serve as the background for events to recognize Veterans Day, a federal holiday observed annually on Nov. 11 to honor military service members.

The curtain rises up on act two of the veto session Tuesday with lawmakers back to (maybe) tackle some of the issues that weren't really addressed the first week.
