The 2023 Formula 1 World Championship kicks off in Bahrain this weekend, and one great move is that the FIA is forcing teams to be less secretive about their cars. Even though we saw them all of them in testing action last week, F1 teams are borderline paranoid about allowing their latest technical innovations or tweaks into the public domain. They know that, as well as us being keen to learn more about the cars, their rivals are spying in forensic detail – so they’d love to keep them behind closed doors. But now, the FIA has decreed that they be more transparent in the ‘show and tell’ media session at each race, foiling their sly workaround to add development parts as the weekend’s practice sessions progressed. Keep up to date with all the action direct from our team inside the Bahrain F1 paddock on Motorsport.com – rest assured we’ll bring you all the latest technical developments in particular!
