TODAY One Small Thing
Orangetheory Fitness gyms seem to be everywhere. So what’s the health obsession all about?

The one-hour workout is based on your individual effort, so instead of having everyone in a class do the same thing, members do variations of the same workout while wearing heart-rate monitors to capture how hard their body is working. The goal is to hit the “orange” zone of high effort. You’ll spend about half of the class on a treadmill and half either on a water-rowing machine or doing a series of moves like squats, crunches or assisted pull ups.
