The Certified Coder Boot Camp—Inpatient Version focuses on ICD-10-CM diagnosis and ICD-10-PCS procedure coding for inpatient hospital (i.e., facility) services. The course emphasizes inpatient coding guidelines, abstraction of inpatient medical records, and assignment of MS-DRGs.
What is the focus of the Certified Coder Boot Camp®?
The Certified Coder Boot Camp focuses on ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding for professional services and hospital outpatient services. The first day of the course is devoted primarily to ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding, while the remaining four days are devoted primarily to CPT and HCPCS II coding. The purpose of this Boot Camp is to provide a solid foundation in ICD-10-CM, HCPCS II, and CPT coding and prepare course participants for the CPC exam, if they so desire (many people take the course without pursuing certification).
