Biography
I am a third generation Arizonan. It is my good fortune to paint in my pleasant studio among the purple foothills of The Sonoran Desert, in the shadow of the world-famous Superstition Mountain. But the desert is more than just my home. It is the generous friend whose welcoming characteristics infuse my palette with the warm pigments of Navajo powwows and the cool hues of its ageless vistas.
Listen! Did you hear that? That was the echoing call of a solitary red-tailed hawk, riding the warm drafts rising up lazily from the turquoise-laden canyons below. And those sweetly spicy smells? The evening aromas of pink, and white, and yellow cactus blooms, heralding the magical transformation of majestic white clouds into shades of impossibly gorgeous orange/red brushstrokes galloping across the virile landscape. All this and much more lures me to my easel each day.
I am an award-winning artist and a graduate of one of the nation's oldest art institutions, The Herron School of Art & Design. My work has been widely exhibited, reproduced, and used by a well-known global corporation. I served as art director for several years at Merrill Lynch Realty of Arizona before partnering with my husband in a successful illustration/graphic design studio. Also, with several other recognized fine artists, I co-founded a select association, The Ateliers Group. During the year-long Arizona State Centennial Celebration my work was honored with exposition in both the Arizona Legislature and the Arizona State Attorney General's Office. I am grateful to be an Artist.
