Dear John
“Can I just get a little peace and quiet here?”
How often have you said (or thought) that? It’s a hard thing to find these days, isn’t it?
Life keeps going at its breakneck pace, daring us to keep up. It’s noisy, busy and often confusing. Things come at us from all directions, all day long, 365 days a year.
Craving peace and quiet is a natural reaction to the excessive noise in our lives. It’s a very real human need.
And if we ignore it for too long, we end up overstressed, burned out and depressed.
What can we do about this?
There’s a popular quote that says,
“Sometimes God calms the storm, but sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child.” - Anonymous
A couple of days ago, I sent an email about HOPE, the first theme of Advent.
Today, I want to talk about the 2nd major theme of Advent. It’s PEACE - calm in the storm.
At Christmas time especially, a season of anticipation and expectation, we think about peace. The peace that we crave. The peace that only Jesus, The Prince of Peace, can bring to our hearts.
The way to deal with the storms all around us is to put the right things into our minds. If we change what goes in, our perspective changes. Peace begins to take over from chaos.
Dad knew this was true.
He said…
“You are what you are and where you are because of what’s gone into your mind. You can change what you are and where you are by changing what goes into your mind.”
Dad spent his whole life teaching on this very thing – how to get the right things in your mind.
Who in your life needs this gift of PEACE most right now? You can be a great friend by offering them words of encouragement for surviving their storm.
And we can help you do that.
We’ve combined Dad’s best training and resources into one beautiful gift you can share this Christmas.
It’s called the ZigPass and it’s available for a limited time.
We’ve priced it so that you can give the ZigPass as a stocking stuffer or tuck it into another gift – maybe a mug or tumbler to hold a warm and comforting cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa.
I’ll be sharing more about the ZigPass in my next email, but if you want to get a look right now, you can check it out here.
Until next time…praying with you that PEACE reigns in your heart this Christmas!
