Today, on #GivingTuesday, The Royal Canadian Geographical Society focuses its efforts on supporting Canadian Geographic magazine; a compelling collection of knowledge that continues to inform Canadians about geography and about each other. Chronicling exploration of our land and oceans, Canadian Geographic is a wealthy source of geographical content.
Thank you to those who have participated in the #GivingTuesday campaign so far! We are thrilled to say we have almost reached our fundraising goal of $10,000 in support of Canadian Geographic magazine and its associated programs. Your support today ensures that Canadian Geographic can continue to engage more than four million Canadians each issue, remaining one of the most-trusted and authoritative sources of information available.
You can still participate!
How your #GivingTuesday gift will make a difference:
A $5 monthly gift provides a free digital subscription to Canadian Geographic magazine for aspiring young geographers isolated at home.
A $12 monthly gift helps provide a free annual subscription to Canadian Geographic for a classroom teacher.
A $30 monthly gift helps Canadian Geographic develop interactive programs that engage our community, such as the Can Geo Photo Club or the community Re:Location interactive website, both of which invite Canadians across the country to make deeper connections into our geography.
A $100 monthly gift helps fund the in-the-field reporting of the writers and photographers who create stories for Canadian Geographic, so that we can share the power of geography.
If you haven’t yet participated but would like to give, we would ask you to make a donation now. Each gift to the Society is greatly appreciated and even a small donation today will have an immediate impact on our ability to enhance and promote public awareness for Canada’s geography.
We need your help. In celebration of #GivingTuesdayNow please make a gift now, because learning can’t wait.
