'Overwhelmed' hospital turns away 999 calls Glasgow hospital had to redirect emergency ambulance calls today as staff struggled with an 'overwhelming' number of coronavirus patients. That's according to frontline workers who told The Scotsman they were worried after staff stopped taking 999 calls.
