In 1941, when American socialite Gloria Vanderbilt was just 17 years old, she reportedly leased a Tudor Revival home on one of the more coveted streets in the Flats area of Beverly Hills. Sitting on a pancake-flat parcel of about two-thirds of an acre, the circa 1927 house was owned by actress Noreen Nash for more than 70 years before her death in 2023. Over the years, a who's who of Hollywood passed through the doors. Today, the vintage six-bedroom home is ripe for a re-do that takes advantage of its elegant proportions. And in Florida, the real estate market in Palm Beach is smoking hot. As political power coalesces around Mar-a-Lago, more and more UHNWIs are flocking to the seaside enclave. And, with a limited number of homes on the market, the high demand by deep-pocketed buyers is sending prices through the roof.
