Today's HeadlinesTwo Bexar County Jail inmates mistakenly sent to state prison, sheriff's office confirms Two Bexar County Jail inmates were mistakenly sent to state prison, the sheriff's office confirmed. The inmates were initially on the list of people set to be transferred to the prison, Deputy Johnny Garcia said, the sheriff's office spokesperson. Those lists were sent out on Sept. 16 and Sept. 20. The inmates' names were removed from the list jailers received on Monday, however. Jailers were using an older transport list, Garcia said. Family identifies female construction worker killed in violent hit-and-run accident on 1604 Family members have identified the 29-year-old female construction worker who was killed in a hit-and-run while she worked on the Northwest Side as Tracie Sheppard. Apartment behind West Side home a 'total loss' after fire An unattached apartment behind a West Side home is said to be a total loss after a fire ripped through the structure early Friday morning.
