The inmates were initially on the list of people set to be transferred to the prison, Deputy Johnny Garcia said, the sheriff's office spokesperson. Those lists were sent out on Sept. 16 and Sept. 20. The inmates' names were removed from the list jailers received on Monday, however. Jailers were using an older transport list, Garcia said. Family identifies female construction worker killed in violent hit-and-run accident on 1604 Family members have identified the 29-year-old female construction worker who was killed in a hit-and-run while she worked on the Northwest Side as Tracie Sheppard. Sheppard's family said they want the driver to come forward. If you have any information, you're asked to call 911.
